Insight and mind-boggling statistics from "The Walking Encyclopedia". Liam Maguire is widely regarded as the number one NHL historian anywhere. He has worked in every aspect of the media for the past 25 years and has appeared on every national radio and TV show at some point in that time period including Hockey Night in Canada.

Liam is a twice published author. His last book titled, “What’s The Score?” was released on September 28th, 2001 and was published by Random House of Canada Ltd. Bobby Orr wrote the forward.

In addition to Liam’s writing, radio and TV work he has made more than 2000 appearances across Canada and the US as a keynote speaker, emcee, host or performer with the premise always including an NHL trivia segment. Liam boasts an impressive 95% accuracy mark when answering questions from an assembled crowd and it is a widely popular format that he specializes in.

MCN's Business of Sports reporter Evan Weiner is a television and radio commentator, a columnist and an author as well as a college lecturer. He is a columnist with the New York Sun with the "Business of Sport" and contributes a weekly column, "Off the Wall" to nhl.com. He was a contributing columnist for New York Newsday (2001-05); AM-New York, the New York Press, the Bergen (New Jersey) Record, the Philadelphia Metro, Washington Examiner, Orlando Sentinel, Rhode Island's Sports Journal, and for The Chicago Tribune's Spanish Hoy! newspapers in NY, Chicago and LA between 2002.

Between June 14, 1999 and June 23, 2006, Evan did 1,835 radio commentaries, "The Business of Sports" for the MetroSource division of Westwood One.

Evan has also appeared on programs on the former WBIS, Channel 31 (New York, NY), RNN (New York), the History Channel with Al Michaels and Frank Deford, as well as ABCNews Now's Politics Live TV show with Sam Donaldson in 2005, and the BBC Radio Documentary Sports and Sponsorship. Evan's career started as a 15-year-old with WRKL Radio in Mount Ivy, New York and with the Nyack, NY Journal-News. In 1978 and 1979, Evan won two Associated Press Journalism Awards as a member of the WGRC radio news team. From 1986-92, Evan was part of the NHL's Minnesota North Stars radio network announcing team as an in-between periods interviewer and part of the North Stars pre and post games programs in New York and in Hartford. Evan started working on John Madden's radio programs as chief interviewer and story generator in 1988 until the shows were revamped by Westwood One Radio in 2003. Evan has covered every sports labor action since 1982 and was the first journalist to report the end of the 1982 NFL players strike and also was the first journalist to report the end of the 1992 NHL strike. He is internationally recognized as an expert in the politics of sports business and has been quoted in newspapers in La Paz, Bolivia and Melbourne, Asutralia.

In 2003, the United States Sports Academy (Mobile, Alabama) presented Evan with the USSA's first ever Distinguished Service Award for Sports Journalism.

In 2007, Evan spoke at the George Bush President Library in College Station, Texas before 20 students (three Russians, three Nigerians, three Indonesians, three Turks, three Venezuelans and five Americans) as part of a US State Department initiative in conjunction with Texas A and M University. In 2007, Evan had an unusual hat trick as he spoke at the Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center in Montclair, New Jersey, the John F. Welch College of Business at Sacred Heart University, and the Bush Library. He also tours the world as a lecturer on cruise ships and has spoken in North America, South America and Europe.

Evan frequently lectures at colleges and universities about the business and politics of sports, including the globalization of North American sports and how technology is changing sports. His book, The Business and Politics of Sports, has been critically acclaimed by academic journals and is used as part of a number of sports business management courses at schools throughout the United States.

Jim Williams has over 30 years experience in the media. Williams was one of the countries youngest news directors at the age 23 developing a new news department at WTOG-TV 44 in the Tampa St. Petersburg market. Williams would leave WTOG to become the VP of Development and Programming for Southern Video Productions a Tampa based Syndication Company that had the distinction of producing FSU, University of Florida and the University of Miami sports all at the same time. Williams left Southern Video to become the VP of Ten TV and Midwest Teleproductions in Cleveland, Ohio. While at Midwest Williams served as the Executive Producer and coordinating producer for Cleveland Indians baseball, Cleveland Cavs basketball, Detroit Red Wings hockey, and Detroit Pistons basketball, the University of Michigan sports and Big Ten Sports. Williams left Midwest to become the Senior Producer of Sunshine Network and oversaw the development of the network as well as serving as the producer of over 100 broadcasts. He later took a position with SportsChannel Florida/Sports Channel America serving as a producer and director for over 500 events. Williams then formed LJC, L.L.C. Media a successful Washington based media consulting firm. Williams has won seven Emmy Awards for his telecasts. He also has done more than 5000 live events including sports, concerts, and news programs. In 1984 Williams was included in the first ever volume of Who’s Who in Entertainment and has named president of the Online Sports Editors Association.

Tim Williams has covered sports for four years with WRBB, the campus radio station of Northeastern University. This includes a year long stint as the play-by-play announcer for Northeastern football and baseball, as well as a four year stretch as a panelist on a weekly call-in show.

He's covered Beanpots, conference tournaments in baseball, basketball and hockey, and fulfilled a personal dream by announcing two Northeastern baseball games live from Fenway Park. He's always looking for an interesting new angle to view the sporting world, and a new story to tell other fans. Tim is currently living in Boston where he's a huge fan of the Boston Red Sox and of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
